Sandbox Account – Fair Use Policy

Purpose

The HighLevel Sandbox account is designed to give partners, developers, and customers a safe, non-production environment to explore, build, and test on the HighLevel platform. This Fair Use Policy (“Policy”) ensures equitable access, protects system performance, and maintains the security and stability of the HighLevel ecosystem.
By using the Sandbox, you agree to follow this Policy, which may be updated periodically.

Acceptable Use

You may use your Sandbox account for the following purposes:

  • Testing & Development: Building, integrating, and validating custom workflows, APIs, and automations.
  • Demonstrations & Training: Simulating features for educational or sales enablement use.
  • Experimentation: Safely exploring new platform features without risk to production data.

Usage Limits

Sandbox accounts are subject to strict limits to prevent misuse as a production environment. These limits include:

  • Sub-accounts: Limited to 2 sub-accounts per sandbox.
  • Workflow Executions: Workflow usage must be limited to testing volumes. Sustained, high-volume executions (e.g., hundreds per month) indicative of production-level data processing are prohibited.
  • Site Traffic: Traffic to funnels and websites hosted in the Sandbox must be minimal. High visitor counts consistent with live product traffic are not permitted.
  • Email / SMS: Email and SMS services are disabled by default.

HighLevel may adjust or throttle Sandbox limits at its discretion to preserve service quality.

Prohibited Use

You may not use the Sandbox to:

  • Run Live Business Operations: This includes using sandbox account as a CRM for running business operations, hosting active websites or funnels to generate actual product traffic or leads.
  • Replace Production Automation Tools: Using the Sandbox as a free alternative to integration services (e.g., Zapier) for ongoing, high-volume workflow executions is strictly prohibited.
  • Manage Live Social Media: You may not use the Social Planner to automate live social media posts, manage active social accounts, or automate responses to real audience engagement.
  • Store Sensitive Data: Do not host or store actual customer data or sensitive personal information (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, PII).
  • Circumvent Restrictions: Attempting to bypass technical or contractual usage restrictions.
  • Harm Performance: Perform stress testing, penetration testing, or activities that could degrade platform performance without prior authorization.
  • Illegal Activity: Engage in any unlawful, abusive, or harmful activity.

Data & Persistence

  • Temporary Environment: Sandbox environments are not intended for permanent data storage. Data may be deleted, reset, or overwritten without notice.
  • No Guarantees: HighLevel provides no uptime, availability, or data retention commitments for Sandbox accounts.
  • Migration: Sandbox data may not be migrated to production environments.

Enforcement & Monitoring

HighLevel reserves the right to actively monitor Sandbox usage to ensure compliance. Specific red flags that may trigger immediate review or suspension include:

  • Excessive Traffic: Monitoring visitor logs on funnels/sites that suggest public hosting.
  • Abnormal Execution Volume: High-frequency workflow executions inconsistent with testing environments.
  • Social Activity: Active scheduling or publishing of content via Social Planner.

In the event of a violation, HighLevel may:

  • Warn, suspend, or terminate accounts.
  • Adjust resource allocations or limits without prior notice.

Changes to Policy

HighLevel may update this Fair Use Policy from time to time. Continued use of Sandbox accounts after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.
