Step 4: Installing and Testing a Marketplace App

This section explains how to generate a Test Link for a specific app version in the Developer Marketplace and use it to install the app into a specific location/agency account for testing.

Prerequisites​

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • Access to the Sandbox HighLevel account
  • Access to the Developer Marketplace Account

Steps​

  1. Log in to the Sandbox account and the Developer Marketplace Account.
  2. Go to My Apps and click the app you want to test.
  3. From the left-hand navigation, click Manage.
  4. Click Versions.
  5. Find the version you want to test and click the three dots (⋯) menu.
  6. Click Test Link and provide the Location ID of the account where you want to install and test the app.
  7. Copy the install link that is generated.
  8. Open a new browser tab and paste the install link.
  9. Click the Install button you see in the app details section.
  10. Complete the installation and proceed with testing the app.

Output / Expected Result​

  • The app version is installed into the Location ID you provided.
  • You can now proceed with functional testing (OAuth, API calls, webhooks, custom workflow actions & triggers, custom page, etc.).
